It is the policy of the Salt Lake City School District Board of Education to provide fair and timely public access to information contained in district records and, at the same time, protect individuals' rights to expect that personal data gathered by the school district will only be released as allowed by state and federal law and board policy.
The purpose of this policy is to authorize and direct the superintendent and business administrator to develop the district records access and management procedures in accordance with the policy statement.
