2017 District Summer Camp at Bonneville


Camp offers academic morning classes in math and reading. The enrichment program includes hands-on projects, outdoor activities, fun fieldtrips, computer lab skills development, and exciting guest programs.

Session 1
Sports of All Sorts
June 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15                                         $230 | $35 registration fee
Campers will stay active as they hone existing skills or learn new ones. This camp session will offer opportunities to play sports, enjoy a Bee’s baseball game, try their hand at bowling, and learn all about keeping healthy.
Field trips:

  • Bowling at the University of Utah
  • Smith’s Ball Park
  • County Ice Center
  • Fairmont Aquatic Center
  • Utah Olympic Park

Session 2
Wild Things!
June 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29                          $290| $35 registration fee
Campers will explore how their daily lives are intertwined with their natural surroundings. Campers will take a nature hike, reel in their own fish, and learn about different animals’ habitats and homes as they visit the Swaner EcoCenter.
Field trips:

  • Cold Springs Trout Farm
  • Swaner EcoCenter
  • Red Butte Gardens
  • This is the Place
  • Temple Quarry Trail
  • Living Planet Aquarium

Session 3
City STEAM Lab
July 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13
$230 | $35 registration fee
Join us as we travel around the city to discover how science, technology, engineering, art, and math (S.T.E.A.M.) are all around us. 
Field trips:

  • Clark Planetarium
  • The Leonardo
  • Utah Museum of Natural History
  • Ogden Union Station
  • SLC Library

Session 4
My Summer Story
July 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27
$260 | $35 registration fee
This camp is all about providing students with new experiences and opportunities, as they weave their own summer narrative.   
Field trips:

  • Days of ’47 Float Preview
  • Fairmont Aquatic Center
  • Museum of Curiosity
  • Boondocks
  • Movies 9
  • Classic Fun Center

Staffing

One of the most important components of a good camp is skilled staff.  Morning academics are taught by certified teachers and the enrichment program staff has been carefully selected for their experience and commitment to youth development. 

Fees and Forms

Payment for camp session(s) are due at the time of registration. We accept credit cards (VISA, Discover, and Master Card), check, money order, or cash.
**If a student is registered in two or more camp sessions the $35 registration fee total will not exceed $70, per student.

Refund Policy

A camp session payment reserves the specific dates for that session. Payment is non-transferable to another week and days are not pro-rated. 

No fee reductions will be made for late arrivals or early departures. It is understood that in the case of homesickness, dismissal, or voluntary withdrawal, there is no refund of fees and registration.

Camp Check-in and Check-out

Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the program.
Drop off: 7:45 am –8:00 am
Pick up: 5:45 pm

Students leave for field trips after lunch. This is a good transition time for students who need to be picked up early or arrive late.
Late Drop-off:  12:00 pm
Early Pick up:   12:00 pm

Things to Bring

Parents will need to send with students daily a sack lunch, water bottle, hat, closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, and a light jacket.
