Pre-Kindergarten Programs for 2012-13
The Salt Lake City School District offers Early Childhood programs to support children and their families, birth through age 5. Programs are designed to give students the assistance they need to prepare them for school success. Parents are also provided information and support.
Schools Offering Pre-Kindergarten
Backman, Beacon Heights, Bennion, Edison, Ensign, Escalante, Franklin, Jackson, Lincoln, Meadowlark, Mountain View, Newman, North Star, Parkview, Riley, Rose Park, Washington and Whittier Elementary Schools.
Beacon Heights and Ensign Registration Information
Registration: Begins January 4, 2012 until full
Registration Fee:
$75.00
Tuition: $225.00
Title I Schools Registration Information
Title I Pre-K is a federally funded program. Tuition is required for this optional program and is determined by yearly income. Please note that enrollment is limited and that participants must be four years old by September 1 of the current year.
Registration: Begins April 27, 2012
Registration Fee:
$20.00
Tuition: *Based on a sliding scale with proof of income and dependents
How to Apply
The following documents are required for registration:
- Child's official birth certificate
- Child's immunization record
- Proof of address (must be in parent/guardian's name)
- Non-refundable registration fee in cash, check or money-order
- Parent/Guardian picture identification
