Parents As Teachers (PAT)

The early years of a child's life are critical for optimal development and to provide for success in school and life. Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a home visitor program available to all families with children birth to 5 who live within Salt Lake City School District boundaries. Families are served free of charge, on a voluntary basis. PAT is based on the premise that parents are the first and best teachers of their children. PAT educators speak English/Spanish and are able to go into the home to work with parents and their children. All PAT educators use a structured, research-based curriculum to build upon family strengths.
