Computer chip maker Intel has awarded a $20,000 grant to Escalante Elementary. The grant is an extension of a $52,000 grant that was given to the school last year. The original grant was used by the school to establish a Science Academy. The academy provides improved instruction in science topics and offers students the chance to participate in summer science programs.
