January 3, 2005 - Congratulations to Nibley Park Elementary and VCBO Architecture! The school and VCBO can now add another award to their already long list of design awards - The Metal Architecture Design Awards 2004 Citation Award. VCBO receives a $1,000 cash prize as well as a $1,500 scholarship as part of this recognition. The company has generously agreed to donate the $1,000 to Nibley Park Elementary and give the scholarship to the University of Utah School of Architecture.

April 15, 2005 - Congratulations to Salt Lake City School District Nurse Deborah Milan-Niler. Deborah has been inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She received an award for "Excellence in Practice" for 2005. She was nominated by Westminster College of Nursing because of her many years of service to Westminster, the community and to the School Nursing Practice.

May 18, 2005 - Congratulations to West High! The West High DECA team had seven winners at the National DECA competition. Two were first-place winners. The team won three test medals and one event medal. Also, the West High MESA Junior Varsity team ranked 7th in the 2005 National TEAMS Engineering Competition. This is the second year in a row that this team has placed 7th in the national ranking.
