Fire Alarm Testing

A new mandate will have fire alarms ringing in Salt Lake City schools this summer. The mandate says each school fire alarm system must be inspected each year. Part of that inspection includes ensuring all alarm speakers and horns, including those located on the exterior of all schools, are working. Inspectors will be sounding the alarms for extended periods of time while they conduct their inspections.
