Many Salt Lake City families enjoyed a happy holiday season thanks to the generosity of Salt Lake City schools, students, and our generous business partners. Donations came in from many sources to provide food, clothing, and gifts for those in need. For example, Glendale Middle School ran a successful Angel Tree program. Students and staff donated gifts, which were then given to needy families in the Glendale community.
Another example is the Kids C.A.N. group at Northwest Middle School. Kids C.A.N. is a group of Northwest Middle School students who are committed to making the Rose Park community and the school the best they can be. Kids C.A.N. members have organized a school canned food drive to help feed the hungry in our city. The school collected 2450 cans of food which will be donated to the Utah Food Bank.
Glendale and Northwest Middle Schools are just two examples of similar programs at every Salt Lake City school. Thank you to those who donated and made the season a bit brighter for everyone!
