Teacher of the Year Finalists

“And the award goes to…” While that announcement may have to wait a few weeks, the five finalists vying for the title of Salt Lake City School District Teacher of the Year have been named. They are Sharon Gallagher-Fishbaugh, Dilworth Elementary School; Lee Ann Johnson, Clayton Middle School; Mary Hibdon, Mountain View Elementary School; Thomas Kemp, East High School; and Chris Gesteland, Highland Park Elementary School. The Salt Lake Education Foundation awarded each finalist $500.

The 2008 District Teacher of the Year will be announced at Welcome Back, scheduled for August 22 at Highland High School.
