Lincoln's mission is to provide excellent academic instruction targeted to the needs of each individual student learner within an emotionally safe and nurturing learning environment. Our teachers are dedicated to incorporate literacy learning throughout the curriculum. By working closely with student families we encourage literacy "both day and night."
Lincoln prizes its ethnic and cultural diversity. Nineteen languages
are spoken here.
Consequently, our literacy program is geared for English
Langauge Learners, as well as for all other students who are excited
to improve their reading skills. The California Early Literacy Learning
and the Extended Literacy Learning programs are used at Lincoln to promote
maximum literacy growth for each grade. This research based literacy
model has proved very effective for Lincoln students.
