Arts are at the core of the education programs at Wasatch Elementary School. Our school community believes that the impact arts education has on our children will follow them throughout their lives by helping them reach their academic goals as well as career success.
- Wasatch includes the arts as part of our core curriculum. Arts instruction, like other core subjects, is standards-based, sequential, equitable, and sustainable.
- Our teachers often think of our school as a work in progress. That is, our effectiveness lies not just in our vision and goals, but perhaps more importantly, in our dedication and determination to the process over time.
- We believe the components of literacy, thinking, viewing, critiquing, listening, speaking, reading, writing, as well as visual, performing, and media arts, are all essential tools for learning.
- We offer extended day programs to enhance the education students receive at our school.
