Q: When does open enrollment start?
A: Early Open Enrollment runs December 1, 2018 – February 15, 2019.

Q: When will I find out if my application is accepted?
A: You will be notified by March 31, 2019
Q: Is there a fee to apply?
A: No, there is not a fee to apply.
Q: Can I apply to more than one school?
A: Yes, you may apply to one or more schools on the same application.
Q: How is acceptance or denial of my application decided?
A: The priority of acceptance is:
- Siblings at requested school
- Employee of SLCSD
- In-district Student
- Out of district Student
Q: Do I have to reapply each year?
A: A currently enrolled non-resident student shall be permitted to remain enrolled, subject to the same rules and standards as resident students, without renewed applications in subsequent years UNLESS any of the following occurs:
- The student graduates or is no longer a Utah resident;
- The student is suspended or expelled from school; or
- The district determines that school enrollment will exceed the open enrollment threshold.
Students who wish to attend a school outside their neighborhood boundaries and are currently enrolled in 6th grade must apply for transfer to the middle school of their choice and 8th grade students must make application for their high school of choice during the Early Open Enrollment window.

A: District Charter Schools have their own application and enrollment process. Please go to the individual charter school websites for more information, or contact the schools directly.
