West High School and the Utah chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women came together to brighten the holidays for 225 West High students and their families. Shalom/Salaam/Tikkun-Olam is a project where the Salt Lake City Jewish community collects donations of coats, clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items, toys, diapers, rice and oil, and more, and makes the items available to West High students. Students were able to shop for themselves and their families.
The Salt Lake City School District is proud to collaborate with community partners in projects such as this to support students and families. These efforts reflect our commitment to removing barriers to education, allowing students to focus on learning and achieving their full potential. By uniting as a community, we create a stronger foundation for success both in and out of the classroom.
