The district’s Community Education Summer Learning Program (CESP)supports more than 800 students in S.T.E.M summer learning through highly engaging hands-on learning. For example, Backman Elementary students traveled to the Bastian Agricultural Center, USU Extension to get a firsthand experience with the leather tooling and grinding wheat into flour. They also visited the Living Planet Aquarium last week to explore ocean ecosystems through real world experiences.

CESP is gearing up for the National Summer Learning Week, July 15th - 19th, which they will be celebrating through student summer learning with literacy, fine arts, wellness, health, sports, and STEM activities.
