West High Robotics Team
The West High School robotics team (Red Rock Robotics, team #3006) performed well at the Utah regional competition. The team We ranked 8th of 39 after qualification matches. They accepted an invitation to play in with the 4th seeded finals alliance and finished finals in 3rd place.
The team and their advisors also won some prestigious awards!
Team Award: Innovation in Control
- Celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components to provide unique machine functions.
Individual Awards:
- Dean’s List: Ella Frandsen
- Recognizing great examples of student leaders who have led their Teams and communities to increased awareness for FIRST and its mission. These students have also achieved personal technical expertise and accomplishment.
- Woodie Flowers: Alison Bulson
- Recognizing a coach/mentor who has done an outstanding job of motivation through communication while also challenging the students to be clear and succinct in their communications.
