To help ensure a safe, in-person learning and social environment, the Salt Lake County Health Department and CDC strongly recommends that everyone eligible, be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19. For families with children too young to be vaccinated yet, it is recommended that everyone eligible around them needs to be vaccinated.

We encourage you to follow the advice of our community's medical and scientific experts to protect your family—and our community—from the pandemic by getting vaccinated and boosted.

The health and safety of our students and employees continue to be our number one priority. If you have questions about how to get vaccinated, please contact the Salt Lake County Health Department at 385-468-7468.

Heightened Cleaning Protocols

Custodial staff will routinely sanitize restrooms throughout the day.  
School staff and students will have access to hand sanitizer in classrooms.
School staff will have access to a spray bottle with sanitizing solution to wipe down desks and other items, as needed.  
All HVAC systems are being adjusted to ensure that 100% fresh air is cycled through schools each day. The air filters in every school and district building were replaced during the spring and summer months and will be checked weekly and replaced quarterly.  
Over the summer, our custodial teams will work to deep clean buildings, furniture, walls, floors, restrooms, carpets, windows, etc.

Social and Emotional Support

Students, employees, and families have experienced additional stress and anxiety caused by the pandemic. The district will continue to provide mental wellness supports and social and emotional learning opportunities for our students and families. The district will:

Assess individual needs and provide supports to students, families and educators;
Each school has counselor and social work support available as well as partnership resources to support mental health needs. Contact your school counselor for more information.
Provide school-based crisis intervention support when needed.
Provide 24/7 text or phone call crisis response through SafeUT.
Provide telehealth mental health services through a partnership with Odyssey House.
