Salt Lake City School District is your best choice for fine arts education. All of our Arts Specialists are certified/licensed teachers.

Every SLCSD Elementary School has a Music Specialist and receives instruction weekly in general music, string instruction and/or band instruction.

Every SLCSD Elementary School is a Beverley Taylor Sorenson designated school which provides an Art Specialist in either: dance, drama, music or visual art to students on a weekly basis.

Middle School requirements include 1.0 year (or equivalent) of Fine Arts instruction and High School requirements include 1.5 years (or equivalent) of Fine Arts instruction.

All SLCSD Secondary Schools provide multiple and diverse opportunities for students to gain Fine Arts instruction through dance, drama, music and visual art.
