District Testing Peachjar Service
The Salt Lake City School District is getting ready to launch a new electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar.” We will use this program on a trial basis for the remainder of the school year. This system will be used to share district-approved digital flyers and may also be used to share school-approved digital content. That means that, in most instances, instead of receiving a paper flyer in your student’s backpack, you will receive a digital flyer via Peachjar. Please talk to your principal to see whether your school will be participating in the trial. Either way, you will still be able to receive digital flyers approved for district-wide distribution.
To view district-approved digital flyers, click on the Peachjar button on the district website, link to district website. If your school is participating, you will also see a Peachjar logo on your school’s homepage.
In the next week, you should receive a welcome email from Peachjar that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to log in to receive or view school digital flyers. To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add firstname.lastname@example.org to your email contacts. When you receive your first digital flyer, be sure to click “always display images” to make sure you can view all images.
At the end of the school year, we hope to send out a parent survey to gather your thoughts about the Peachjar services. This information will help us determine whether to continue using Peachjar and will help us determine how we can better communicate with you and your families.
Please know that the Peachjar system will be used exclusively for the distribution of school- or district-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are informed about school programs, activities, and relevant community events.
If you have any questions, please contact your school’s principal, or contact Jennie Vuich with the Salt Lake Education Foundation, at link to email.
