Summer School and Reptiles
Students in North Star Elementary’s Summer Discovery Club are getting help from some cold-blooded creatures as they learn about stability and change in ecosystems.
Students have spent the last few weeks visiting different ecosystems and studying their interaction with the physical environment. These young scientists are making connections with the classroom and the importance of our world’s ecosystems.
One of their recent lessons involved reptiles. The morning was spent in the classroom with their teacher, Sharon Moore, discussing the different physical traits of reptiles. In the afternoon, the students were able to expand their understanding with a visit from Kim’s Cold Blooded Creatures. Students handled and observed different reptiles up close.
