Two SLCSD Employees Win Special Education Awards
Two Salt Lake City School District teachers have been recognized for their positive impact in providing services for students with disabilities. The Utah chapter of the Council for Children with Behavior Disorders (CCBD), a subdivision of the National professional group Council for Exceptional Children, honors individuals who have made significant contributions to improve the lives of students with emotional disturbances/behavior disorders.
At the CCBD conference this year, the H. Kenton Reavis Special Educator Award was given to Tisha Eggleston, a Resource Teacher from Bennion Elementary. The Bill Jenson Related Service Provider Award was given to Miriam Bales, a Behavior Specialist at the district office. Both individuals have made significant contributions to the students served in our special education programs.
