Ron McBride Foundation Donates to Northwest and Glendale
Believing that children learn better when they are healthy, Northwest Middle School, Glendale Middle School, and the Ron McBride Foundation are joining forces to alleviate some barriers to learning. The Foundation donated $15,000 to each school to support their after school programs.
Healthy learners are students who exhibit positive characteristics in mind, body and social interactions. This partnership will help close the achievement gap by ensuring that all students have increased access to opportunities to engage in activities associated with being a healthy learner.
“We are incredibly excited to expand our partnership with the Ron McBride Foundation,” said Dr. Lexi Cunningham, Salt Lake City School District Superintendent. “Coach McBride has always been supportive of Salt Lake City School District teachers and students. He understands that healthy learners have the potential to excel in school. His support is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Coach McBride, for helping our team succeed.”
