SLCSD Science Supervisor Wins NSELA Scholarship
Candace Penrod, Salt Lake City School District's Science Supervisor, was recently awarded the Vernier Emerging Science Education Leader Scholarship at the National Science Education Leadership Association (NSELA) Summer Leadership Institute 2019.
Vernier Software and Technology provided the award and recognition at the Orlando, Florida meeting. This ongoing partnership supported six $500.00 scholarships for emerging leaders. NSELA was formed in 1959 to meet a need to develop science education leadership for K-16 school systems.
While attending the Leadership Institute, Ms. Penrod was able to work with national science education leaders and other district level science leaders from across the country. She is thrilled to have been selected for this award and to be a part of this supportive and innovation professional national science leadership organization.
