“I’m better than you,” or “You don’t matter.”
Contempt is treating someone as if they are less important, less worthy, or undeserving of dignity. It can appear in dismissive looks, a sharp tone of voice, or the deliberate act of ignoring someone.
Every conversation, every classroom, every moment is a chance to make DIGNITY real. Together, we can build schools where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.
