Books For Utah Kids at Bennion Elementary

On November 13th, Bennion Elementary represented Title I schools across the state of Utah during the Books for Utah Kids project, sponsored by Channel 4 News, Deseret Book, KNRS Radio and other local sponsors. Bennion Elementary 4th and 5th grade students had a great field trip to Deseret Book where they met the author Brandon Mull, who introduced his new book, The Candy Shop Wars. This field trip was broadcast on Channel 4 News that day and was the kick-off event for the state-wide book donation event. All of the books that were donated to the Books for Utah Kids project were given to students at Title I schools for their personal book collections in their homes.
