Dr. Paul Sagers, Principal at East High School, has turned his personal goal of losing weight into a schoolwide effort to get healthy. Hundreds of students and dozens of teachers and staff joined Dr. Sagers to kick off the Fitness Challenge by running or walking one mile. During the next few months, Dr. Sagers wants to lose 100 pounds, and those participating in the challenge are asked to exercise 100 times and eat a healthier diet. Another one mile run/walk and a celebration at Raging Waters will be held in the spring for those who stick to their commitments and finish the challenge.
