Verification of Employment

Employment Verification Procedures – Salt Lake City School District

To request employment verification for current or former employees of the Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD), please submit your request in writing. All requests must include a signed authorization from the employee, dated within one year of the request.

Important Guidelines:

  • No Phone or In-Person Verifications: Employment verification or re-verification information will not be provided via phone or in person under any circumstances. Voicemail messages requesting verification will not be returned.
  • Submission Instructions:
    • Email employment verification requests to HRVOE@slcschools.org.
    • Please allow up to four (4) business days for a response.
    • Paper copies will not be accepted for current employee verification forms (e.g., DWS, housing, Medicare/Medicaid). These must be submitted electronically to the email address above.

Specialized Requests:

  • Mortgage, Income, and Garnishment Verifications: These requests are handled by the Payroll Department. Please email them to voe@slcschools.org.
  • Verification of Experience for Educators: Educators needing verification of prior years of service should email their experience forms directly to Kimberly.Hill@slcschools.org.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness Forms: Submit the complete packet to Logan.Hall@slcschools.org for processing.
