Employee Evaluations – Salt Lake City School District

The Salt Lake City School District (SLCSD) implements a district-wide evaluation system known as the Employee Collaborative Assessment Program (ECAP), which applies to all employees. This comprehensive framework is designed to promote professional growth, ensure accountability, and support the district’s mission of educational excellence.

Evaluations are conducted in alignment with Board Policy P-10: Personnel Evaluations and Surveys, which establishes consistent standards and expectations for performance across all roles. The ECAP model emphasizes collaboration between evaluators and employees, incorporating multiple measures such as job performance, professional contributions, and alignment with district goals. The process includes both formative and summative assessments, offering constructive feedback and identifying areas for continued development.

The Human Resource Services department provides guidance and resources to support employees throughout the evaluation process. This commitment to continuous improvement reflects the district’s dedication to fostering a high-performing, student-centered educational environment.
