Hand and Wheel: Explore a variety of wheel thrown and hand built pottery techniques. Utilize a selection of demonstrations tailored to the desires and abilities of the class to create functional and/or sculptural objects. Aspects of the ceramic process from making to glazing and firing will be discussed. Emphasis on improving skill and craftsmanship. Includes one block of clay. Hand Building: Learn how to use tools and techniques to create architectural and artistic forms out of clay. Create plates, vases and cups with slab. Positive and negative sculpture, low-poly representation and more. Learn hand building techniques and then try them on your own project. Includes one block of clay.
