It was great to meet you, listen to your suggestions, and hear your feedback on the plans and renderings of our forthcoming high schools. Update on Highland High School and West High School – July 30, 2025

We’re working on making plans for our athletic teams at each school to continue practicing and competing, even while their campuses are being rebuilt. One of the biggest challenges for school districts across the country right now is chronic absenteeism. It’s hard for our students to succeed in school if they’re not even coming to school. We know that participation in extracurricular activities is an important way to keep students engaged, and athletics are an important component of many students’ experiences. We will continue to work to plan for alternate practice and playing locations for each team as we strive to eliminate barriers to participation.
