Bond Updates and Construction Projects
Update: Current status of several projects – November 7, 2025.
Here’s a quick update on several construction projects happening across the district. Thank you for your patience and support as we continue making long-term improvements to our schools and community facilities.
West High
Preliminary utility and ground work is scheduled to begin the week of November 10. A safety fence will go up soon so crews can work securely and efficiently.
Glendale Track
The upgraded track and field will be ready for West High teams next season. Construction on the support building is scheduled to begin in mid to late November and will continue through late summer 2026. The finished space will include storage, restrooms, and team rooms.
Rosewood Park
Work on the baseball and softball fields is moving along well. The fields are on track to be ready early next year and will include new dugouts with roofs and benches.
Highland High
Design work is nearing completion. Preliminary ground work and utility work is planned to begin in spring 2026 to prepare for the rebuild of Highland.
Rosslyn Heights Sports Complex
We have heard concerns from neighbors and are working closely with environmental engineers to find possible solutions. Work to properly align the lights continues. The complex is open, though the lights cannot be used until adjustments are complete. The gates are open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Community members are welcome to use the fields when they are not scheduled for high school teams or rentals.
Clayton and Dilworth Fields
To support Highland High teams during the rebuild, softball will be played at Clayton and baseball at Dilworth. Preliminary survey work at both sites will begin in the next few weeks, but construction won’t start until the summer of 2026. Field use will continue as normal through the end of this school year.
