Bond Updates and Construction Projects Home

Update: Bond and Construction Projects – February 12, 2026

We continue to make good progress on our bond and construction projects:

  • West High: Demolition of the athletic facilities is nearly complete, with final bids for the rebuild expected in the coming weeks.
  • Highland High: Planning for the rebuild is in its final stages. Construction fencing is going up and utility work is scheduled to begin in March.
  • Glendale: The new track and field are ready for use! Construction on the team building is underway and should be done this summer. In the meantime, temporary tents and portable restrooms will be available during games and practices.
  • Rosewood Park: New bullpens have arrived. While final sod and landscaping will be done when the weather is warmer, the fields will be ready in time for baseball and softball seasons.
  • Rosslyn Heights Sports Complex: Adjustments to the field lights have significantly reduced spillover into neighboring yards, from more than 8 foot-candles to approximately 0.6 foot-candles at the property line.

These projects reflect our continued commitment to providing safe, welcoming, and high-quality facilities for students and staff.

Construction equipment works on a large, cleared lot with city buildings in the background.
