Board of Education

The Board of Education of Salt Lake City School District is an elected group of community members entrusted with overseeing the educational policies and operations of our schools. They work closely with the superintendent and business administrator to focus on the board’s priorities: reading, especially reading on grade level by 3rd grade, and social and emotional learning. With a focus on educational excellence and equity, the board strives to prepare students for success in an ever-changing world, guided by principles of integrity, transparency, and inclusivity.
