High School Graduations
High School Graduations
Graduation day is tomorrow, Thursday, May 28! To help make it a joyful, smooth experience for everyone, please keep the following in mind.
Keep the confetti at home
- Confetti and silly string are not allowed inside or outside the Huntsman Center. (Note: the Huntsman Center charges schools $250 per incident if confetti or silly string is found on the premises.)
No tailgating or large setups
- Four high schools (Highland, East, West, and Horizonte) will share the Huntsman Center on graduation day. To keep things running smoothly for all families, please avoid tailgating, tents, or large setups on Huntsman Center grounds so everyone can be seated on time and traffic can move easily.
Save food items for before or after the ceremony
- Food, candy, and leis made from food products are not allowed on the arena floor during the ceremony, but you are welcome to enjoy them before or after the event.
Show your pride
- Cultural regalia, floral leis, and other expressions of cultural identity are not only welcome, they are protected by state law, and we are proud to uphold that. Decorated caps are also welcome, as long as they are school-appropriate and respectful.
Accessibility
- Guests with disabilities or mobility issues may be dropped off at the half-circle lot directly south of the Huntsman Center on South Campus Drive. This is a drop-off area only, not a parking area.
- ADA parking is available in the surrounding lots designated for graduations (please check the parking map).
- ADA and wheelchair seating are available at the top of each section, with companion seating located next to wheelchair areas.
Security details
- All guests must pass through a security screening to enter the Huntsman Center.
- Only clear bags are allowed inside (this is a Huntsman Center rule). Exceptions are medical or diaper bags. Bag storage is available at the Sorenson Building across from Door 3.
Strollers and Balloons
- Neither strollers nor balloons are permitted inside the arena bowl. If you bring either, they must be stored in the Ticket Office Lobby across from Portal 23. Staff will be available to assist.
Parking
We are so proud of this graduating class and the family and friends who’ve cheered them on for four years. We cannot wait to celebrate together tomorrow!
