Horizonte students kicked off the year with a Project-Based Learning opportunity right in their backyard: the future of the Ballpark neighborhood. They learned from Mackenna Hawley (Project Manager for the Salt Lake City Community Reinvestment Agency) about the rivers, creeks, and streams running below their school and neighborhood streets, then spent the week exploring the neighborhood firsthand.
