Salt Lake City School District is upgrading how we communicate with you about attendance. Starting this school year, all schools will begin using Edia Learning, our new attendance notification system. 

Here's what will change: when your student is marked absent, you'll receive a text from Edia Learning. Just reply to tell us why they missed school. We genuinely want to know. Whether your child stayed home due to illness, a hard day, anxiety, or something happening at school, your response helps us show up for them. The AI assistant routes your reply directly your school’s office staff, who can connect your family with any needed resources or support. 

A heads up: messages may come from different phone numbers, but each will clearly identify as Edia Learning.

It’s still our main channel for school updates and announcements. Edia just has a few extra features that will help us better support you and your student when it comes to attendance.
