West High School

Opened in 1890, West High School is the oldest high school in Utah. The main section of the current school building was completed in 1922 and has served generations of students in Salt Lake City. 

  • The new West High School is estimated to cost approximately $300 million.
  • The new academic tower and athletic field house will be across the street, and students will continue learning in the current school while the new school is under construction.
  • The athletic fields will be placed on the west side of 300 West.
