Education: The catalyst for creating sustainable systems. Education is the catalyst for creating sustainable systems. By providing comprehensive sustainability education for all students, SLCSD can empower students to make healthier and more efficient choices as they use resources and enable them to see their future careers through a lens that acknowledges how ecosystems, social dynamics, and economic forces intersect and interact. This strategy focuses on establishing organizational structures that support a common sustainability education vision across SLCSD schools and departments.
