Aikido Extension is a continuation of the fall class. Anyone can join even if they have not taken the previous weeks of class. Aikido is a modern martial art that stresses positioning, redirection of an attacker's force, and calmness for effective conflict resolution. Students will learn aikido techniques to defend against a variety of attacks, typically working in partners. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in, long pants and sleeves are recommended. Expect moderate anaerobic exercise and safe, close contact with your training partners.
