Initial Site Work at Highland High School

Dear families and community,

We are excited to share that initial site work will begin at Highland High School on Monday, June 16, 2025. This marks the first step in the full rebuild of Highland High, made possible by the recent voter-approved bond. We are grateful for the community’s support and investment in the future of our students.

This first phase of work will focus on the south end of the campus, where we are preparing the area for additional parking and lighting to support construction during spring 2026. Construction will continue throughout the summer and will conclude before the start of the new school year in August.

Additionally, the tennis courts and Driver’s Education area will be temporarily removed.

  • Tennis: During this time, Highland’s tennis teams will use the new courts at the former Rosslyn Heights Elementary School site (2291 S 2000 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84106). The full Rosslyn athletic complex will be ready later this summer, in time for the fall tennis season.

  • Driver’s Education: The program will operate from a temporary location during the summer. Students enrolled in Driver’s Ed will receive more details directly from the school and program staff.

We understand that construction brings changes that may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your flexibility and support as we begin this exciting transformation.
