We’re proud to share that the Salt Lake City School District has once again been recognized for outstanding financial reporting! The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded the district its Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for our comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. This marks the 48th year in a row we’ve earned this prestigious honor.

To receive this award, a government agency must produce a report that’s not only easy to read and well-organized but also meets strict accounting principles and legal requirements.

In addition, the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) has awarded the district its Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting. This award confirms that our annual report meets the high standards set by ASBO for financial reporting. We’re proud to say this is the 46th consecutive year we’ve earned this recognition.

These awards reflect our ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence in managing public funds.
