Summer Food Service Program
Salt Lake City School District’s Summer Food Service Program will offer free meals to all children, ages 0-18, during this summer. Free lunch will be served at the Salt Lake City Library, various community parks, and many schools located across the city. Breakfast will also be offered free of charge ONLY in school cafeterias on days when summer school classes are in session.
This federally sponsored summer feeding program requires each child to be present to personally select food components and to fully consume their meal at the site (exception: one fruit or side item may be taken home to consume later).
Meals for children with special dietary needs will be provided upon request. Parents can contact our Child Nutrition Dietitian via email at Lydia.Hales@slcschools.org or contact the Child Nutrition Department by phone at (801) 974-8380 to make arrangements.
Each serving site has specific hours of operation and dates of service. Please verify the dates and times at each site in the information below. All sites will be closed on Monday, June 17(in honor of the Juneteenth holiday), Thursday and Friday, July 4 & 5 (Independence Day), and Wednesday, July 24, 2024 (Pioneer Day).
