The team of contractors that built the district Administration Building has been honored with an Award of Merit from the Engineering News-Record. The award recognizes the construction team’s overall work and the way they altered their original construction plans and timeline to make up for weather delays. Instead of building one entire floor at a time, steel workers built both floors of one section of the building and then moved on to the next section. This allowed concrete workers and framers to move in and work on the first section.
