East High Students Claim Gold and Silver at State SkillsUSA Competition

East High School is celebrating a pair of top finishes at the state SkillsUSA competition, with students earning both a gold and silver medal in what marks a standout achievement for the school's program.
Gold medalist Kiley Griggs will now advance to the national SkillsUSA competition in June, where she will compete against top students from across the country. The National SkillsUSA Championships is the premier showcase of America’s most highly skilled career and technical education students. It’s also one of the largest hands-on workforce development events in the world. Held each June, this awe-inspiring event features more than 6,700 state champions from across the United States competing head-to-head in 114 skilled and leadership competitions.
