Salt Lake City School District Ranked #1 in Student Learning Gains

This summer, a state audit ranked Salt Lake City School District #1 in Utah for student learning gains, out of all 41 districts in Utah. Researchers measured how much students actually learned, after accounting for income, race, and other factors outside our control. Salt Lake City students came out on top!
The lead researcher put it plainly: Salt Lake students "significantly outperform expectations."
That starts with our students. It continues in our classrooms, where more than two-thirds of our teachers hold a master's degree or doctorate, where we have more nationally board-certified teachers than any district in Utah, and where educators average 11 years with us. Our teachers don't clock out when the bell rings. They conduct home visits, coach afterschool activities, and prepare lessons long after school hours because your children are worth it.
We still have work ahead. But our students are proving every day that circumstances don't write the ceiling.
