The Assessment & Evaluation Department supports teaching and learning across Salt Lake City School District by providing meaningful information about student learning and school programs.

Assessment oversees district and state testing, supports schools with secure and appropriate test administration, and helps educators and families understand student assessment results.

Evaluation examines data from programs, surveys, and other sources to help the district understand what is working, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions that support students and schools.

Together, Assessment & Evaluation provides accurate, useful information to help our schools, families, and district make informed decisions about student learning and educational programs.
