Highland High Rebuild

Despite recent heavy rains, construction on the new Highland High School continues to make good progress. Crews have been pouring foundation walls for the new auditorium on the east side of the site and footings for the new gym on the west side. We’re grateful to the dedicated construction crews working through the wet conditions.

West High Rebuild

A modern interior features a large wall with a textured vertical pattern and an angled staircase running across it.

Work continues to move forward on the new West High School, and the northwest corner of the building is taking shape. In this area, walls are up, steel roof trusses are in place, and steel decking is now being installed. In the auditorium and fine arts area, new wall sections have been lifted into place.

East High Field House

The district has issued an RFP (Request for Proposals) to hire a design team for the East High Field House. Once the team is in place, the field house design phase will begin.

Dilworth Baseball Field

To support Highland High during the rebuild, Highland's baseball team will practice and play games at Dilworth Elementary.

Work on the Dilworth Elementary baseball field is moving along well. The new sod is taking hold and looking healthy. Crews are now installing the poles and fencing for the backstops, and the dugouts will be going in soon.
