CTC Grant

District Awarded $30 Million Grant for New CTC

Great news! Salt Lake City School District has been awarded $30 million through Utah's APEX Center Grant Program (a state grant that funds profession-based learning spaces), the largest award ever given through the program!

This money will help us transform the now-closed Riley Elementary campus into a modern, standalone career and technical center (CTC), bringing profession-based learning to our students in ways not available to them today. The grant covers part of the cost, and the Salt Lake Education Foundation is leading a fundraising effort to help complete the project.

The new CTC will open more paths for every student in our district, now and as your child grows. Students will train in different fields, earning certifications that lead to strong careers; without college debt.

We are proud of our students and excited for what this means for their futures.
