November Attendance Competition
November Attendance Rivalry: Grateful You Are Here
Every day counts, and every day you're here makes your school stronger.
This November, every school in Salt Lake City School District is in a friendly competition to see which schools can make the biggest gains in attendance. From Nov. 2 to Nov. 30, schools compete against other schools at the same level (elementary, middle, and high school), starting with a goal to beat their own October attendance. We're grateful for every student who walks through our doors, and this month we're celebrating it.
How It Works
Each school starts with a goal: beat its own October attendance rate. From there, the challenge builds week by week.
| Week | Dates | The Challenge |
|---|---|---|
| Week 1: Kickoff | Nov. 2-6 | Beat your school’s Actober attendance rate. |
| Week 2: Move the chains | Nov.9-13 | Improve on Week 1. |
| Week 3: The Comeback | Nov. 16-20 | Make your biggest gain yet. |
| Week 4: Finish Strong | Nov. 23-24 and 30 | Stay above your October rate all the way to the end. |
Three Ways to Win
- First Down: Any school that improves its attendance over the week before earns a First Down. We post First Down schools every Monday.
- Rivalry Champion: The school at each level with the highest attendance rate for November.
- Comeback Champion: The school at each level with the biggest improvement from October to November.
Champions will be announced in December.
