ELP Endorsement Class

Requirements for Obtaining Gifted and Talented Endorsement

Four required courses (12 total credit hours) must be completed and may be completed at multiple universities.  Coursework older than eight years will not be accepted.  Completed courses must have grades of C or better. 

Upon completion of the courses, each participant is responsible for submitting transcripts and the GT endorsement application (Educator Endorsements) to the USBE. When approved, the GT Endorsement will be added to your Educator License.

Fall 2025 Gifted and Talented Endorsement Class

Online applications are now open for the Fall 2025 Gifted and Talented Endorsement class, EDUC 5640 Curriculum and Instructional Planning in Gifted Education, September 9, 2025-December 16, 2025.  If you are interested in this class, please complete the online application anytime but no later than Wednesday, August 27, 2025.  After that, you will receive registration information.  Reach out to the ELP Department with any questions at 801-578-8573.
