Update: Preliminary Work for West High Rebuild Starts Soon – November 4, 2025.

Preliminary utility and earth work for the West High School rebuild is scheduled to begin the week of November 10. You may notice trucks and other work vehicles being moved onto the track and athletic fields this week as crews prepare for this phase of the project.

This preliminary work is in preparation for the rebuild of West High School, which is scheduled to begin in early 2026. This preliminary work will include:

• completing utility line work underground to prepare for the future school;
• excavating and moving dirt to level the ground before additional work; and
• removing existing buildings, the track, and fields.

Work hours are expected to be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
