Volunteers and Donations
Dear community and business partners,
Many of you have expressed the desire to volunteer to support our students during the statewide school dismissal. Unfortunately, due to the extenuating circumstances of the COVID-19 virus, we are restricting volunteers in our schools.
However, the Salt Lake Education Foundation is still working to support our students and families during this critical time. We are committed to the health and safety of our students and ensuring they can be successful in the classroom. Of particular concern at this time is protecting our students and their families against respiratory illnesses. To that end, we are working in partnership with the Utah Food Bank, Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, and Salt Lake City Police Department to package food boxes and emergency hygiene kits for families in need.
We are in need of the following items:
- Hand sanitizer
- 3”x5” card with tips for preventing germs
If you are able to assist in this effort, we ask you to help in one of two ways:
- Please make a donation to the Salt Lake Education Foundation. You may do so online at: . Select “Emergency Relief Fund.”
- Please drop off any of the needed items at one of our Community Learning Centers, Monday-Friday, between 2 and 5 pm.
