U of U Science and Engineering Fair Winners

Congratulations to our Regional University of Utah Science and Engineering Fair winners! Overall, Salt Lake City School District students took home 43 awards, including two International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) awardees, showcasing the power of STEM education and innovation in our district.

Students from districts, charters, and private schools along the Wasatch Front participated in the Regional University of Utah Science and Engineering Fair (USEF) held at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Salt Lake City School District sent 5th-12th grade students who had qualified in the Virtual District Science and Engineering Fair. We are proud of all our students who qualified this year and who participated at USEF! We are thrilled to announce the winners of categorical and special awards from the USEF competition. Student names, categories, and awards are published on our District Science and Engineering webpage.

We recognize our two International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) awardees, Marianne Liu and Megan Tandar from West High School, who were selected as two of the six projects that will represent USEF at the ISEF competition in Atlanta, Georgia in May. This is a prestigious award, and we honor the outstanding effort, time, and innovation that precedes projects that advance to ISEF. Congratulations to Marianne and Megan!

Additionally, we recognize Sohum Krishna, Shurik Rajeev, Chloe Crumley, and Josie Flickinger as recipients of the Broadcom Masters’ Award in the Junior Division at USEF. These students’ projects will be considered for further advancement in this prestigious middle school competition.

Congratulations to all that participated!
